Stepping Stones to Positive Relationships (Part1)

Hi,

Over the next week or so I’m going to post a series of tips and strategies for building and maintaining relationships with your students.

This is, without doubt one of the most effective behaviour management strategies/teaching tools at your disposal – students are obviously more likely to behave for a teacher they respect, trust and get on well with. (Although we must always maintain professionalism – ‘friendly’ is ok, ‘trying to be their friend‘ is not).

As well as the strategies, I’m also going to give you the Power Point slides from a recent keynote speech I gave at an exhibition – ‘Stepping Stones to Positive Relationships’ and I’ll also give you a very handy desktop reminder sheet to help you organise all the notes and ideas.

So… if you’d like me to put the tips and resources here on the blog (no charge) please leave a comment below. It will take you just a few seconds to do so – just write ‘yes please I’d like tips on building relationships with students’ .

I’ll be back soon with the slides, the desktop reminder and the first strategies very soon.

Please leave your comments below (by clicking on the ‘comments’ link immediately below this message) so I know you definitely want the slides, desktop reminder and tips.

Bye for now…
